Introduction to Culture and Media School

Culture and Media School was founded in 1973, formerly known as the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. It has four undergraduate majors, which are Chinese Language and Literature, Radio and Television Editing and Directing, Broadcasting and Hosting Art, Network and New Media. Among them, Radio and Television Editing is the school-level characteristic specialty, and Ancient Chinese Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics are the key disciplines of the school level. Zhumadian TV station Huanghuai branch is a national literature practice education base. The school has a provincial digital media experimental teaching demonstration center, a provincial excellent course of ancient Chinese literature, and a provincial excellent resource sharing course of advertising planning and creativity.

 

Faculty

At present, there are 82 full-time and part-time teachers, including 37 professors and associate professors, 19 doctoral students, 2 doctoral supervisors and 2 master tutors in the school; 1 provincial academic leader, 2 academic and technical leaders of the provincial education department, 2 provincial-level young and youth backbone teachers, excellent teachers in Henan Province, more than 10 moral pacesetters, and 1 school-level teaching master.

 

Teaching, Learning and Research

Over the past five years, teachers of this school have published more than 400 academic papers and more than 20 Monographs on teaching materials in Chinese core journals, completed 5 national level projects, more than 30 provincial and ministerial level projects, and won more than 20 awards above the provincial level.
