Introduction to School of Economic Management

The School of Economic Management was established in April 2005. There are 6 undergraduate majors such as accounting, tourism management, and marketing. It has 1 first-class major，1 key discipline，1 excellent grass-roots teaching organization，1 CPA talent training base in provincial level and 1 professional Master's degree training center; 2 first-class majors, 2 key disciplines and 1 characteristic major in school-level.

 

Faculty

There are 97 faculty members and 91 full-time teachers, including 8 professors, 28 associate professors, 16 with doctors’ degree, 3 master tutors, and 6 with the background of overseas. Among the teaching staff, 1 teacher with the honor of Central Plain Thousand Talents Plan Expert, 1 teacher with the honor of Henan Outstanding Teacher, 1 teacher with the honor of Henan May 1st Labor Medal Winner, 3 teachers with the honor of Henan Teaching Model, 2 teachers with the honor of Henan Provincial Young Key Teachers, 2 teachers with the honor of Henan Excellent Education Worker, 4 teachers with the honor of Academic and Technical Leader in Henan Province, 13 teachers with the honor of Social Science Experts or Top-notch Professionals in municipal level.

 

There are 14 professional experimental training centers such as VBSE Comprehensive Training Center, ERP Comprehensive Laboratory, Simulation Comprehensive Training Room, Financial Engineering Laboratory, Tourism Management Training Room, Sand Table Simulation Comprehensive Training Room, Marketing Laboratory, E-commerce Laboratory, and Public Crisis Management Training Room and 22 internship bases outside university.

 

Teaching，Learning and Research

In the past 3 years, teachers have presided and finished 76 scientific research projects at or above the provincial level, and published nearly 200 academic papers in important academic journals at home and abroad. The students have won 32 scientific and technological innovation competition awards in national or provincial level; nearly 2,000 students have obtained vocational qualification certificates in 20 categories. Currently, there are 5 companies registered and established by college students, of which Shao Shuai Studio has received widespread attention.
