Introduction to School of Information Engineering
The College of information engineering is one of the key development departments of Huanghuai University. It has six undergraduate majors, namely Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, and Artificial Intelligence, with more than 1700 full-time undergraduates. Adhering to the "craftsman spirit", adhering to the "quality" first, giving full play to the advantages of the platform, our department actively explores the new mode of application-oriented personnel training, and has achieved preliminary results. The department has been awarded the honorary titles of advanced collective of Henan education system, advanced grass-roots party organization of Henan Province and excellent grassroots teaching organization of colleges and universities in Henan Province.
Faculty
At present, there are 76 teachers, including 29 professors and associate professors, 17 doctors, 2 provincial backbone teachers, 4 academic and technological leaders of Henan Provincial Education Department, 1 provincial famous teacher, 4 teaching pacesetters in Henan Province, and 7 top-notch talents in Zhumadian City. There are 6 distinguished professors, including 1 Changjiang Scholar and 2 young talents program.
Teaching, Learning and Research
The department has achieved remarkable results in teaching reform. It has 10 provincial undergraduate teaching projects, among which "Computer Software and Theory" is the key discipline of Henan Province; "Software Engineering" is the characteristic specialty of Henan Province; "Computer Science and Technology" and "Software Engineering" are comprehensive reform pilot projects of Henan Province; and "Communication Engineering" specialty is undergraduate engineering education of provincial colleges and universities "University Computer Basic Course" is a provincial excellent course.
The department has perfect teaching and scientific research experimental equipment, including "Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of intelligent lighting", "Henan Province Intelligent Robot Behavior Optimization Control International Joint Laboratory", provincial "computer comprehensive training experimental center and communication engineering training experimental center", "Henan Province group robot collaborative control innovative scientific and technological team" and 5 municipal key laboratories and engineering Project center, won two provincial science and technology progress awards. There are 29 professional laboratories, and the total value of instruments and equipment is more than 50 million yuan.
