Introduction to School of Intelligent Manufacturing

In order to deepen the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and implement the “Made in China 2025” strategy, Huanghuai University and well-known enterprises at home and abroad jointly established school of intelligent manufacturing. The school is committed to cultivating high-level and high-quality industrial elites and technical personnel with “craftsman characteristics” such as high-level engineers and designers. There are five undergraduate majors: Electronic Information Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, with 1032 students.



 

Faculty

There is a double-position teachers team with reasonable structure, high quality, and innovation, including 7 professors, 10 associate professors, and 16 doctors. The “Control Theory and Control Engineering” is the ninth batch of key disciplines in Henan Province. School of Intelligent Manufacturing has an Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute in Zhumadian Industrial Research Institute.

 

Talent Development

In accordance with the principle of school-enterprise win-win, School of Intelligent Manufacturing connects local industries and cooperates with internationally renowned companies such as Siemens and Phoenix to form a set of teaching, training, innovation, production, and technical services in various forms such as “digital factory” and “intelligent manufacturing workshop” and founds an integrated, shared and productive professional training platform inside and outside the school. It lays a good foundation for students to integrate into the intelligent manufacturing industry after graduation, and realizes the seamless connection of talent training specifications and requirements with the market. The school pays attention to the cultivation of students’ innovation and entrepreneurial ability. The students have outstanding achievements in national and provincial competitions such as the National Electronic Design Competition and the Internet of Things Competition.

1. Mechatronics Engineering

 

Career Prospectus

The school trains students who are engaged in the design and manufacture of electromechanical systems or electromechanical equipment, research and development, engineering applications, and operation management in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

 

Core Modules

Circuit Electronics and Electrical Technology Series, Mechanical Engineering Series, Computer and Network Technology Series, Control and Measurement Series, Intelligent Manufacturing Robot Operation and Maintenance, 3D Printing and Other Professional Courses.

 

2. Electronic and Information Engineering

 

Career Prospectus

This major trains students who engaged in the production, development, and sales of electronic products, the development, application, and maintenance of electronic information systems, as well as work in the network and information industry and related positions.

 

Core Modules

Circuit Electronics and Electrical Technology Series, Engineering Graphics Series, Computer and Network Technology Series, Control and Measurement Series, Intelligent Manufacturing Software and Internet of things.

 



3. Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering

 

Training Objectives

This major cultivates compound applied engineering and technical talents with global concepts and international communication capabilities. Such talents can be engaged in on-site implementation, diagnosis, maintenance, and function upgrades, as well as in the research and development and management of new-generation smart products, equipment, and production lines. Based on cutting-edge information technology such as cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things, they also can realize information transformation in specific areas of manufacturing.

 

Career Prospectus

In the field of intelligent manufacturing engineering, electromechanical and automation engineering, the students is engaged in intelligent product design and manufacturing, CNC machine tools and industrial robot installation, debugging, maintenance and repair, intelligent factory system integration, information management, application research and production management.

 

Core Modules

In addition to professional basic courses such as circuit electronics and electrical technology series, mechanical engineering series, computer and network technology series, control and measurement series., the students should learn intelligent production line design and operation and maintenance, industrial robot operation and maintenance, and intelligent manufacturing virtual simulation system, 2 more than one professional orientation module courses and 1-2 elective courses for other orientation modules.

 

4. Internet of Things Engineering

 

Training Objectives

This major cultivates high-quality applied engineering and technical personnel with a strong sense of innovation who can engage in the research and design of industry overall solutions, implementation and maintenance of intelligent information processing systems in intelligent manufacturing-related enterprises and institutions.

 

Career Prospectus

Graduates can engage in the design, development, operation, maintenance and implementation of IoT software and hardware in government, research institutes, IoT companies or industries.
