The 17th Provincial University Student Bridge Championship and the 17th Provincial Gardener’s Cup Bridge Championship, hosted by the Education Department of Henan Province, were held at Nanyang Normal University from May 25th to 26th. Over 130 student athletes from ten universities across the province participated in the competition. The team, formed by the “One-Stop” Student Community Comprehensive Management Center and led by their mentor Zhang Yingjie, competed for the first time and achieved impressive results: 4th place in both the Open and Women’s categories, 5th place in the Men’s Pairs, and 6th place in the Women’s Pairs.

In November 2023, the “One-Stop” Student Community Comprehensive Management Center selected eight outstanding students from various residential colleges and student service areas to form a bridge team. After six months of professional training and dedicated practice, the team made their debut at the provincial level, achieving remarkable results. Their success has effectively encouraged more students within the community to actively engage in sports and physical activities.

In line with Xi Jinping’s directives on education and sports, and aiming to enrich the sports culture within the “One-Stop” student community, the Student Community Comprehensive Management Center will further strengthen the sports activity system. They plan to organize diverse cultural and sports activities, encouraging students to find enjoyment in regular exercise, enhance their physical fitness, develop strong character, and cultivate resilience. These efforts will ultimately contribute to improving students’ overall well-being and promoting their holistic development.
