Two students from Huanghuai University’s School of Foreign Languages, Jing Qing and Wang Jiayu, have been accepted into the 2024 International Chinese Language Education (ICLE) volunteer program. The announcement was made recently by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education. Following a comprehensive pre-departure training program organized by the center, they will embark on their mission to teach Chinese in Cambodia.
The International Chinese Language Education (ICLE) volunteer program, organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education, is a significant initiative aimed at promoting the Chinese language and expanding educational exchanges. It serves as a vital bridge fostering friendship and understanding between people from China and other nations. To date, Huanghuai University has proudly sent nine volunteers to teach Chinese language and culture overseas. They have successfully facilitated cross-cultural communication, exemplified the positive spirit of our students and faculty, and enhanced the university’s international reputation. We encourage more students and faculty to embrace the responsibility of sharing China’s stories and voices with the world, showcasing its rich cultural heritage and the admirable spirit of its people.
To support the promotion of international Chinese language education, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office has been actively involved in promoting the program and providing comprehensive guidance to applicants. The successful selection of our students not only affirms their academic achievements and comprehensive abilities but also opens up new avenues for our graduates seeking employment or further studies abroad.
