Huanghuai University is pleased to announce that its official WeChat account dedicated to mental health support, “Huanghuai Care”, has secured the second position in the 2023 Influence Ranking of Mental Health Centers in Henan Province. This achievement was revealed in the “2023 New Media White Paper on Online Ideological and Political Education in Henan Province (Matrix Construction)” recently published by the Education Department of Henan Province. The White Paper highlighted the impressive reach and impact of “Huanghuai Care”, reporting a remarkable cumulative readership exceeding 200,000 and a WCI index of 471.69 for the year 2023. Furthermore, the top three most popular WeChat articles on mental health published by Henan universities in 2023 were all attributed to “Huanghuai Care”.

“Huanghuai Care” is structured around two main modules: “Service” and “Education”. The former focuses on providing practical resources such as mental health surveys, psychological assessments, appointment scheduling for counseling services, and interactive platforms for student engagement. The latter features five distinct themed columns – “Words of Comfort”, “Mental Health Knowledge”, “Building Connections”, “Positive News”, and “Our Warm Home” – designed to address diverse student needs through engaging and informative content and activities. By consistently delivering high-quality content tailored to students’ interests, “Huanghuai Care” has successfully established itself as a vital platform for promoting mental well-being within the university community. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

The university has proactively explored new and effective approaches to mental health support, culminating in a comprehensive, multi-dimensional system that prioritizes student well-being. This system encompasses: Multifaceted Psychological Curriculum, Five-Pronged Thematic Education, Professional Counseling Services, Collaborative Crisis Intervention.
