In a resounding affirmation of its commitment to social responsibility and youth development, Huanghuai University is proud to announce that two of its volunteer service teams have been selected for the prestigious “Colorful Holiday” program. This national initiative, spearheaded by the Youth Volunteer Action Guidance Center of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, aims to engage young volunteers in supporting the well-being of children in need, particularly those in rural areas.

The “Colorful Holiday” program, launched in line with the principles of Xi Jinping’s thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, seeks to mobilize student volunteers to provide care and guidance to children facing challenging circumstances, including left-behind children, boarding students, and those experiencing difficulties. The program focuses on seven key areas: ideological guidance, promoting a healthy lifestyle, fostering physical and mental well-being, encouraging scientific innovation, fostering a love of learning, nurturing artistic talent, and preserving cultural heritage. Huanghuai University actively responded to the call for participation, meticulously organizing and mobilizing its student body. This dedication proved fruitful, as two teams from the School of Art and Design – “Aesthetics Education in Runan” and “Art Nurtures the Heart” – were selected from an impressive pool of 6,334 applications submitted by 1,167 universities nationwide.

Huanghuai University places great importance on practical education, recognizing social practice and volunteer service as essential avenues for strengthening and improving ideological and political education among its students. The university remains dedicated to guiding its students, particularly members of the Communist Youth League, in developing a strong moral compass, embracing positive values, and actively contributing to society.
