The Key Project of the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone, jointly declared by Professor Wang Dongyun and Dr. Liu Xinyu from the School of Intelligent Manufacture of HHU, Tsinghua University, Zhengzhou University and other universities, have been approved. The first phase of funding is 2 years, with a total funding of 30 million RMB. HHU received a support fund of 1 million RMB. The research team led by Wang Dongyun and Liu Xinyu has undertaken 3 such projects in total and received support funds of 1.6 million RMB.

The National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone Project is a major national science and technology plan project funded by the Science and Technology Commission of the Central Military Commission (CMC). The approved project is the result of the research team's unremitting efforts for many years, seizing the opportunity of military scientific research development, closely combing the major needs of the military-civilian integration innovation and national defense construction. It is also an important manifestation of the in-depth development of military research in HHU.
