HHU Students Win the 3rd Prize in the 2nd National Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

HHU students ,Gu Yanjun from School of Economic Management won the third prize for his work Rural E-commerce Platform,which is the highest award for HHU in such a competition.

Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Central Information Office, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Communist Youth League and the Hubei Provincial People's Government. 118804 projects from 2110 colleges and universities in China were received by the committee.

Gu Yanjun’s project stand out in trials and were chosen to participat in the final of Henan Province, and recommended to the national finals. Gu Yanjun won the bronze medal in the national finals.

Gu Yanjun took part in social jobs when he was a freshman. He organized many large-scale e-commerce activities, and started his own business in innovation and entrepreneurship center in HHU. His project has been operated for more than one year. He integrated the resource from the rural area, take advantages of data and supply chain to collect data from county, township and village service stations, which build the F2C model between famers and product processing company. By this way, it saved the production-oriented enterprises procurement costs, guaranteed the quality, promoted the agricultural product and helped the farmers get rid of poverty.
