Cooperative Agreement Signed by University of Northamptom UK and Huanghuai University

On April 6th, NickPetford, President of University of Northampton, UK, and Prof. HastingsMckenzie, Senior Director of the International Department visited HHU and signed a cooperation agreement with our University. President Tan Zhen held welcoming meeting with the guests at the reception room of the Complex Building of HHU, and directors from International  Office,  Development Planning Division 

and Academic Affairs Divisionattended the meeting.

Tan Zhen warmly welcomed the visitors and said that in recent years HHU adheres 

to open  school running concept, pays attention to quality construction,  promotes 

the transformation of application-oriented, and gradually explores a "local, international, open, application-oriented" characteristics of development. HHU has made

remarkable achievements in international cooperation and innovation and

 entrepreneurship education.HHU has been chosen as a pilot institution for the refrom

of Universities of Applied Science and Technology. Until now HHU has been cooperating with some universities in the United Kingdom, India, the United States, 

Australia, South Korea and other well-known institutions to carry joint education programme, and more than 1,000 students realized their dream of studying abroad. 

HHU has hosted the International Forum on Industry and Education sponsored by MoE of China for three consecutive years.Tan Zhen hopes to further strengthen 

exchanges and cooperation with Universityof Northampton and promote higher educa

-tion reformand deepen the internationalization of HHU.

Nick Petford introduced the history and current situation of University of

Northampton, also presented Northampton’s discipline construction, personnel 

training, scientific research and etc..Meanwhile,Nick Petford hopes share the 

international development fruits.

 After the meeting, Tan Zhen and Nick Petford, respectively signed cooperative

 agreement on Electrical Engineering and Chemical Engineering on behalf of

 Huanghuai University and  University of Northampton, UK.
