In order to promote the transformation and development of the local undergraduate colleges and universities, initiated by the Ministry of Education, International Forum on Industry & Education (IFIE) was established in 2014 by the Association of Universities (Colleges) of Applied Science in the context of the economic development entering a new normal and innovation-driven development strategy. The forums have been organized by the Union in conjunction with local governments and social organizations.

 

At present, IFIE has been held for six times successfully under the guidance of the Ministry of Education. IFIE, working for the transformation and development of local colleges and universities, has made a full theoretical preparation and created a good atmosphere for public opinions, promoting the institutions of higher learning, industry enterprises and engineering. The active participation of the technical community has expanded the influence of China's higher education structural reform on the world. IFIE has developed into one of brand forum of the high level in the field of China's higher education, vocational education with international influence, becoming an important platform to boost the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation.

 

In order to carry out the strategic plan of deepening the educational reform made in the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Finance have joined together implementing the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of National Education and policies on the guidance of some local colleges and universities moving towards applied science and 2017 working goals  of Ministry of Education, promoting the transformation of local undergraduate colleges and universities on gaining experience, seeing effectiveness, and earnestly cultivating a large number of high-quality applied talents.

 

On the basis of preliminary work, IFIE strives for policy support, depth transformation and leading demonstration, and schedules to hold the fourth production and education integration strategy Forum (International Forum on Industry & Education, IFIE) on October 15-17, 2020 in Zhumadian City, based on the Ministry of Education’s spirit of the document and work arrangements. The theme of this forum is  ‘New Journey-Towards the Future Thirty Years’, including the following main topics:

1. Developing modern education system: the historical orientation and future direction of categorized education in the new era;

2. Digital intelligence governance: the 14th five-year-plan and system of digital

intelligence governance

3. Step to advanced level: developing system of professional postgraduate education

and categorized education;

4. New pattern of opening up: innovation network of international applied technology education.

 

The Forum has extensively invited relevant Chinese and foreign governments, education, business, industry organizations, research institutions and other celebrities and the news media to participate. IFIE forum has developed into an internationally influential brand of China's higher education.
